I am fifteen, hear me roar! (Oh, and new layout, Tunnel)
May 08, 2005 @ 1:25 p.m.

New layout, Tunnel. (Now THAT'S a creative name, right there.) Version 12. Me likey. You likey? I know it's a little dark... and the lines from my poem (yes, those are from a poem I wrote July 7th, 2004) aren't the best of my poetry... but... they were inspiring, can you blame me? Besides, I was really getting sick of white and maroon. (So now it's black and maroon. Yay!) What's happened since I got back from the trip... well... I had a TON of makeup work that I just got made up this Thursday, the 5th. The fourth... my birthday!! My birthday was very spiffeh. You know I'm fifteen now? I'm fifteen. That's so weird. Someone was like, "so you're fifteen, right?" And I had to struggle in my head not to say I'm fourteen, hahaha. Other than that, fifteen pretty much feels exactly the same as fourteen. But yeah, if you love me and you missed my birthday, feel free to check out one of the wishlists over there. *Points to the left* (...I'm just kidding, you realize.) I didn't say it in the last entry (how could I forget??), but I got two national awards for my writing, which means I'm going to NYC with my mum and Ash. (She got one too! ^^) Happy!! *Grins* I also got two stories ("Crushing the Butterfly" and "Hourglasses", if I remember correctly) and both my submitted drawings (one of a rose and one of a broken hourglass to accompany Hourglasses) into the school's litmag, Pandora's Box. And I got a first place trophy in forms at a karate competition, against six other people, my belt and higher, with the least funkeh form. And I applied to a weeklong summer writing camp held at Susquehanna University... I really, really hope I'm accepted into it. I'm younger than their age limit by a year, but Mrs. Cook called the guy and he sounded interested in having me in it, seeing as I'm so young and I got all those awards in Scholastic regionals already. So really... life is going good for me. I just have loads and loads of work to do that I'm currently... er... putting off. That's not necessarily the best thing, seeing as it's 1:35PM Sunday afternoon. Heh heh. I made myself a final study sheet that I have yet to adhere to... heh... I'll be making up for it today. Whooo. So I'd probably better go now. Get lunch and sit myself down [oh how I hate that hick-ish phrase] with a lovely report on the Elizabethan period. Ta. -Adrienne
