600th entry. Yes, I *officially* no longer have a life.

It's official.

I have no life.

Because this is my 600th entry.

And now we proceed to the actual entry.

I enjoy writing poetry as much as the next writer. I enjoy reading good poetry from time to time, when I have access to it. But - and this is not because of any lack of skill on my part, because I know my poetry is the suck - I really do think that for the most part, poetry is a wasted art form. That's an awful thought to think; poetry is something everyone and anyone, even with no writing experience whatsoever, can enjoy expressing themselves in. But that is the reason for its ineffectiveness, exactly: too many people write poetry, so many people that it starts to become meaningless, something which true poetry is most definitely not. With true poetry, every word must resound with true meaning; even though the writer may not think of every single analyzation as they create it, poetry can be interpretted many ways. Every phrase is well-chosen, not just regurgitated because it rhymes. True poetry often does not rhyme. I don't know, but for some reason, when poetry rhymes, it loses something. *Shrugs*

What brought this up? Nothing. I don't know, I was just thinking about this today.

People are stupid. I swear. People miss out on the best people because they choose to make fun of them instead of enjoy their friendship and company. It's bad, but I enjoy the feeling of being the befriender of the misfits. I love my insane friends. I just wish that the perverted half could get along better with the too-damn-brainy half. O_o

Gosh, I need to clean my room.

*Bounces* I'm very happy. Ash and I got back together on the 21st, and life's just been swell since then. We were holding hands today walking between classes. ^____^ Fwee! I love that girl.

Next year I'm going to have a lot of homework. o_O I suppose that's to be expected of junior year, though. But I'm taking AP English, AP Euro, Honors Chemistry I, Honors Spanish (IV), math analysis (whoo hoo! I don't have to take calculus at all in any form! YES!), and commercial art I. I'm really looking forward to art, I haven't been in an art since 8th grade. And commercial art sounds rather practical, don't you think? For web design, especially, I'm thinking. I want to learn flash... maybe I'll mess with that this weekend. I can redo parts of my website (I was thinking the "me" section but eventually perhaps the entire site :D) with that. It would be neat. ^_^
