Happy places.

Fog and silence. Bare trees. Slight chill. Not the most comfortable of sitting positions, but easy enough to write in.

A slow walk, backpack on my back, across a wide field that dips downwards in the middle. On the left there are trees and a narrow road, on the right is a walkway. Dusk. Three or four rabbits are visible, chewing on grass in the midst of the first sparkles of fireflies.

A cot on one side of a narrow room, mirrored on the other side with varying clutter. Mirrors beside me, mirrors in front of me, mirrors behind me, journal in my lap, CD player on volume 2. Slight rocking; you get used to it.

The little out-of-the-way patch of floor that is the "balcony" in Sean's house; until they filled the space with a dresser.

In the doorway of the garage as it rains outside and yellow light spills out onto the concrete and dissolves into darkness.

Happy places.
