Sixteen-ness
May 05, 2006 @ 9:52 p.m.

I am now sixteen. I passed my permit test after the first fifteen of eighteen questions. It was amazingly easy. I can't believe there are actually people who fail it multiple times. I applied for a bunch of jobs (Kmart, Staples, OfficeMax, Kohls, Michael's, Target, and Karns), but I'm really hoping for a job at Staples. That seems like the lamest job ever, but it's nice there, being surrounded by lovely multicolored printing paper and hundreds of sharpies. Certainly a good job to work at before the school year begins, right? You'd know when all the school supply discounts are. O_o And that way I wouldn't be working at a clothing store, tempted to spend my entire paycheck on things I see during a day's work. The sole purpose of working this summer is to save up for Kenyon Review Writers' Workshops next summer. If I can manage it, I'll be working until at least December of junior year, too. We'll see. I need $2000, but I hear that AP English homework is brutal. Going to practice driving with dad tomorrow in the development around the old hospital. Maybe Staples will call me to set up an interview. Hope so. *Bounce* -Adrienne
